Creating Various Money Values Using Coins and Notes:

How can we order Australian coins and notes from descending to ascending order?

First, we will place money values from the smallest coin to the highest. 

This process would be repeated for the notes when we place them from the lowest note value to the highest.

Second, we count collections of coins or notes to make up a particular value

Think:

1- What does "ascending order" mean?

2- What do you notice about the numbers on the coins and notes?

3- What is the highest number or notes we can use to make a value? (for example $20) 

4- What is the least number or notes we can make a value? (for example $20)
